Packet Pickup & Race Expo
Please remember, your packet must be picked up before the day of the race. Friends or family members may pick up your packet for you if need be, but we do encourage all of the participants to try and make it out to packet pickup themselves. To pick up another participant's packet, you must have the person's name and date of birth with you.
Packet Pickup will be held as follows:
Thursday 8/1 - 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Sneaker Factory Basking Ridge (25 Mountain View Blvd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920) 908-542-1212
Friday 8/2 - 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Cycles 54 in Wall (1901 Highway 35, Wall, NJ 07719) 732-449-2254
Saturday 8/3 - 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Jersey Girl Triathlon Expo - (On The Beach, 1 Madison Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740)
What You Get at Packet Pickup:
- Famous Jersey Girl Bathing Cap: Caps are color coded to your swim wave. Please wear during the swim, it is highly visible.
- Wristband: Must be worn on race day at all times for access to transition area and to remove bike from transition after race
- Race Numbers: Please affix bike number to your bike for the bike portion of the race. Please wear your bib number on front of your shirt at all times during the run and crossing the finish line, thank you!
Ladies... remember to take some extra time to check out the Expo at Packet Pickup and on Race Day. We have vendors coming with some great triathlon gear, as well as vendors to meet your last minute needs. Relax and enjoy the ride...
The Split Second Racing Team, volunteers, and seasoned triathletes will all be around to answer your questions! Don't hesitate to ask!
Special Club Section is now open to Clubs and Groups.
For race day, we know many of you are part of a group, club or specific coach. We will have a special area for you to set up your tents and meeting area, but of course we have to plan. This is by reservation only, so please email us here so that we may plan out the area. By RESERVATION ONLY!
Race Day Helpful Hints
Take a moment to read through the website, in particular under Details. There is some great guidance provided for you to make race day easier.
Please also take some time before the race to familiarize yourself with the course maps. There will be police officers and plenty of volunteers on hand to guide you through, but it is your responsibility to have basic knowledge of where you are heading.

Your best bet is street parking or outdoor parking directly in front of the Ocean Place Hotel at the LM Ocean, LLC. outdoor lot, located on Abbotsford between Broadway and Laird. This lot will open at 5am. Charge will be $5 for triathletes (normally $15) - as long as you are out by 10am. After 10, you will be charged the extra $10 and can stay the whole day. Other spaces are available at Pier Village at no charge, but these spaces are limited. There is also a parking garage for those without roof racks. Please do not park on the east side of Ocean Boulevard on Cooper, Madison and other small residential streets just north of the Ocean Place Hotel. Please be considerate of the residents in this area.

Timing chip pickup will be on Sunday morning - before you enter the transition area, please pick up your chip. Attach it to your left ankle with the chip facing out. If you need assistance, don't be afraid to ask!
Once you enter the transition area, there will be volunteers on hand to do body marking. The transition area is secure: Athletes only will be allowed to access the transition area you must wear your marked bracelet to enter transition or leave with your bike & equipment.

If you want a swim angel, they will be in yellow caps to the side of the entrance to the water. Pick one out as you go into the water, and they will stay with you the entire swim.
The Red Bicycle Studio will be on hand all day race day - pre race, post race, and along the course! At the expo on the 3rd, they will offer a quick "fix a flat" demo and a raffle for a beach cruiser!

As usual, the Long Branch First Aid squad will be on hand throughout race day. We hope you won't need their services, but they are offering their support just in case.
If you need to use the bathroom the morning of the race, Port-O-Johns will be available to you along the end of Madison Avenue, closest to the Ocean Place Hotel.
